Smooth Targeting UV Pin


UV Pin feature now is more flexible (after version 3.5), we can make our agents fly towards onto the target and pin to the target geometry mesh smoothly. And also the agents are able to leave the geometry when we trigger some logic. This allow us create some very cool insects result.

Additionally, the UV Pin now supports CCT, which is able to make the agents accumulate and stack on the surface of geometry

 

Workflow

Setup smooth landing frame

The smooth landing frame can setup how many frames the agents need to land onto UV Pin target. For example, when some bugs fly to the target object, we just need to crank up the landing frame, and the UV pin result will be automatically smooth.

And when we want to our agent leave the target, we just to use logic to activate it, the smooth landing will work automatically.

Please notice the below picture, the agents in the right-most are the agents outside the bound. And when the agent go inside the bound, the logic will activate and attach the target mesh. The agents in the yellow bound area are the agents landing on the target mesh smoothly.
